Back To The Future Trilogy (Widescreen)

Back To The Future Trilogy (Widescreen)

Back To The Future is without a doubt one of the best comedies ever made and, shortly after it was first released, eventually became one of the best trilogies ever made. By now we know all about the adventures of Marty McFly who travels through time to set the wrong things right and the mishaps he runs into along the way. With dazzling special effects, genuine laughs and exciting storylines, it is no wonder why these films were, and still are, such a hit. And for the longest time the trilogy was one of the most requested titles to be released on DVD. Well wait no longer, because the Back To The Future Trilogy has finally been released on DVD to an ever-anticipating public. With the complete trilogy available in this set along with hours of bonus material, it is sure to be a very worthy DVD release that was worth the wait.

This rather inexpensive DVD set contains all three movies completely remastered. The image quality for each film is in pristine quality. It is clean, sharp, and is the way the films should be seen. The sound quality is equally extraordinary, with a powerful 5.1 Dolby Digital track in both English and French that is very dynamic. Special features are spread across the three discs and are specific to each film. Each disc includes a couple of making-of featurettes, interviews with the stars and filmmakers, commentary with the producers, subtitled anecdotes played throughout each film, deleted scenes with commentary, hilarious outtakes, make-up tests and visual effect tests, production image galleries, music videos, and each of the film’s script on DVD-ROM. Other features available in this set include a television special on the secrets of the trilogy (hey, it’s Kirk Cameron!), an FAQ, a featurette on advertising the trilogy, and excerpts from the first film’s original screenplay that’s somewhat different to the one we know. The features are a lot of fun and provide plenty of insight to each film and to the trilogy as a whole. Fans of the films will get everything they ever wanted in a DVD release of the films and more, thanks to this excellent box set that has a phenomenal collection of entertaining and absorbing special features.

It was a long time coming, but the Back To The Future Trilogy has finally made it’s way to DVD, more than fulfilling the needs of the fans who have been waiting patently for this release… and it’s worth the wait! With hours of entertaining bonus material and an excellent transfer of each film, this is one of those cases where the fans got what they wanted! The Back To The Future Trilogy is some of the funniest films in the last twenty years and are some of the coolest science fiction films ever made. The films developed a devoted cult audience and rightfully so. The films are great, and so is the new DVD box set, which gives the trilogy the proper treatment it deserves. When you take your trip though time, make sure you have this DVD set right by your side.
