Clapton's Montreux
concert showed up at the time he was having a huge comeback in the 80's. The
release of the "Behind The Sun" album paired him with Phil Collins who
helped produced it and was part of his touring band at the time.
Clapton performs such classics as "Layla", "Cocaine" and "White Room" from
his 70's catalogue, as well as later day hits like "Tearing Us Apart" and
"Behind The Mask". Phil Collins also gets to perform "In The Air Tonight."
The only drawback is that the concert was shot on video, instead of film,
which was the norm for the time. The image is blown up to 16:9 for DVD, but
is not as sharp as it could be.
In the same regard, the DTS and Dolby Digital audio track are extrapolated
from a stereo source and has some range limitations.
A great concert though even with the technical limitations.
