The Best Of
Mister Ed - Volume One

In this day and age a show like Mister Ed would
never take off. A
sitcom about a man and his friend who is a talking
horse that only talks to him; it's a silly premise,
but for six seasons Mister Ed was one of the top rated
shows on television and was a hit in syndication after
its run. Viewers
tuned in each week to watch the wacky misadventures of
Wilbur and his troublesome friend of a horse (of
course, of course) Mister Ed.
And simply because it was a funny show (and
because of the popular, addictive theme song), more
and more viewers were tuning in.
It was an unlikely hit that entertained
audiences for years.
As a treat for fans of the show, a collection
of their favourite episodes is finally made available
on DVD. The
first volume of The Best of Mister Ed contains
twenty-one favourites from the first three seasons.
While some grain and scratches remain in the print, the
picture is clear and has good image contrast while
maintaining its original look.
Each episode is also presented in its original
mono soundtrack that is also pretty clear, but it is
after all only mono.
No features are offered in the set.
Due to the age of the show, there are probably
no features to offer.
By itself this DVD is not very
impressive, but simultaneously it is not made to
impress anyone; it's just for fans of the show.
It's a two-disc set containing some of the best
episodes of the series uninterrupted.
What more can a fan of the series want?
If you have been looking for a way to own as
many of your favourite episodes of Mister Ed in one
package, this set is what you have been waiting for!
Strictly for fans... of course, of course.
